The application allows you to assign a wide range of information to individual albums and it places a few useful tools at your disposal, which can help you locate a specific album or track, print covers and more.

WinMusik is offered free of charge and you can have it up and running in no time. The installation process involves usual settings, like selecting a destination folder or creating shortcuts. The application works on all modern Windows platforms and it doesn't require any additional tools.

The main user interface is compact and it displays only a few options, for managing music cassettes, audio CDs, vinyl discs and so on, as well as options for searching in the database, printing covers, changing the general settings and managing playlists. When creating or editing database entries, you will have to work on the same window, regardless of what kind of device you wish to define. However, the application won't mix your CDs with your cassettes or other devices. You can, for example, assign the same index number to different device types.

To create a new database entry, you have to specify a few details, on a small window, like the album title, label, purchase store and others. After creating a new entry, you may compile a track list. The application allows you to insert a vast range of information for each track, such as artist, title, version, genre, bit rate and much more. Furthermore, if you have the song on the hard drive, you can specify its path and play it with an external application.

WinMusik places several search methods at your disposal. You can search for a specific artist, title, version or other details on one or more devices. Alternatively, you can perform a quick search, which involves matching your keywords to several details. It is also possible to search for something on the entire hard drive. Another useful feature is the possibility of printing album covers. Unlike conventional printing tools, WinMusik allows you to add custom text on the front, side and back and specify a series of details, like available soundtracks, sound format and other characteristics, which you would normally find on CDs or DVDs.
